No the infarred emitter will use the TTL square wave just as it is. When is
sees a high it tell the glasses to turn on the left eye, when it sees a low
it tells the glasses to turn the right eye. If you give me a fax # I can
send a wiring diagram.

I suggest finding some of the resident demo software that the located
in the dir : usr/people/4Dgift/examples/devices/StereoView
Nested cubes is another good "stereo test" program. It should be a
simple plug and play.
Also try the setmon command: /usr/gfx/setmon -n STR_RECT
to turn on the stereo option. This will elongate the monitor
(to 120 Hz refresh rate) the command /usr/gfx/setmon -n 60HZ will
turn off the stereo. NOTE: The -n toggle is need so the format will
not be saved in EEPROM, and just loaded temporarily.
Also there is a program called /usr/demos/bin/powerflip
data is located in /usr/demos/data/yaodl/
/usr/demos/bin/powerflip -S /usr/demos/data/yaodl/(data file)
will create a stereo image.
man powerflip will give you info on that.

GT and GTX Graphics
support 30HZ, 60HZ, NTSC, PAL, and 30HZ_SG.
GT and GTX RV2 Graphics
support 30HZ, 60HZ, NTSC, PAL, 30HZ_SG 343 and
STR_RECT.
Run "hinv" to determine hardware ...
Run ".usr/gfx/gfxinfo". That should help us out in figuring the
revision. The other way is the brute force method;
/usr/gfx/setmon -n 60HZ (then return)
cut and paste the above command into the mouse cut and paste buffer.
type /usr/gfx/setmon -n STR_RECT
If the monitor goes crazy or if the monitor can do stereo mode..ta da...
if the user can not see what they are doing, have them press the middle
mouse button to get the /usr/gfx/setmon -n 60HZ command typed in or
have them type it in blind.

RED LED INDICATOR
The Visible RED LED is a multi purpose indicator. 1) Power.
2) Switch is in HI or LOW. 3) Tells when the Left/Right
(stereo 60Hz signal) is present. 4) Phase, brighter in the right eye.
Note: All of the first 3 conditions must be met for the light
to turn on.

SGI emitter VS PC/PRO emitter
The emitters sold through SGI distribution are different from the
ones StereoGraphics Corp. sells directly for other computer and or
video systems. Although upon a casual look they appear to be the
same, they are not! The best way to tell the difference is by
looking at the rear panel. The SGI type has only a DB9 connector
and a range switch, while the PC/PRO emitter has an additional
BNC connector. The two emitters are wired differently on the DB9
and are not directly compatible. The SGI type emitter will ONLY
work with SGI computers and cables, the PC/PRO emitter WILL NOT.
Do not get them mixed up or you will have problems. Adaptors are
available to "rewire the cables" for cases with incompatible
emitters. The SGI to PRO (# 82250) is for SGI computer and cable
sets going to a PC/PRO emitter, the other is PRO to SGI (# 82249)
for other non SGI computers and cables to SGI emitters. See
StereoGraphics Corp. for info in them.

PSTVIEW-INDY EYEWARE / EMITTER SET
The Indy (Blue) EYEWARE / EMITTER SET is not compatible with and other
eyeware. They are unique. Blue eyeware units will only work with
blue emitters. This set is compatible with any of the Indy,Indigo,Indigo2
and Elan graphics that use the small 3 pin MINI DIN type connector as
the STEREO output.
