Subject: Performance tuning (pixie & prof ???)
When running our Performer application program and using pfDrawChanStats()
function, the app process has been growing to the point of overtaking the draw
process. Would like to get some specific benchmarks on our Performer
application program to see if optimization is a viable approach.
However, when using pixie & prof, both tools provide the function where the
time was spent and what source file the function resides in. It turns out
most of the time is spent in library routines. But no information about
what lines in our Performer application called the library routines, or even
what function or functions in our Performer application were the culprits.
Used "insight" to search for other possible tools with no luck.
Are tools available to get tuning info specifically on our Performer
application (i.e. lines and functions). Or at least some "simple" way to
reference back to the Performer app with the output of pixie and prof?
Thanks,
