IL and Performer can be made to cooperate, but one needs to be
careful about resource allocation, e.g. making sure IL doesn't use
CPUs or framebuffer storage in a way that conflicts with Performer's
MP or with normal framebuffer allocation of Z and multisamples.

If all you want to do is to negate the image, I believe that on
RealityEngine you can do this directly using GL's pixeltransfer or
pixelmap functions.
