Update on 'pfMalloc() Unable to allocate heap ...'

I am using Performer to develop my driving simulator with on-line navigation
maps. The sample perfly program uses "town.flt" database for its scene.

I had to modify the scene's (i.e. add some street name signs etc). Is it
possible to do this without having to buy the multigen's modeling tool.

I am a doctoral student at SUNY Buffalo, and operating with ZERO $ budget.
Would appreciate it if somebody has suggestions of how to go about making minor
changes to .flt file..

P.S: I am in Western New York area. It will be great if any of you in this
area have multigen's modeling tool that I could use for a limited time to
develop some scenes.
