I've looked at the archbridge.flt file that I believe you're
referring to and it's grey for me.
Whenever colors or light seems different from MultiGen,
the first things to check/disable are the loader modes:
PFFLT_AMBIENT_IS_DIFFUSE and PFFLT_COMPUTENORMALS.
Please see the description for these modes in the README.SS
(currently README.SS.R14_1) file for the OpenFlight loader.
In the section "KNOWN BUGS AND WORKAROUNDS" it also
states:
"If colors or materials are incorrect, try disabling
PFFLT_AMBIENT_IS_DIFFUSE. This will render the
scene the way that MultiGen does and may cure the
discrepencies"
Basically the loader uses the faster LMC_AD material
mode by default, resulting in possibly different shades
from what you see in MultiGen. In perfly, use the command
line argument to turn this mode off: "perfly -o 5 test.flt"
If this doesn't help you out, please call or email me directly.

Subject: Multigen and Color problem
Hello,
we have seen some problems with colors from a Multigen Version 14
database that has been loaded into Performer 1.2.
With the file defadmods/263archflt a bridge that should be gray shows up
in a kind of violet.
Any ideas,
Thomas
