On a mildly related note, has anyone ever seen/written software to
simulate sound in a room. IE given the room's properties (size, shape, wall
surfaces, etc), what is the frequency response of the room at any given
point?

Paul Harvey, the Newscaster, says that Bose has fully simulated acoustics
from architectural plans. Try (800) 282-BOSE for their factory. If the
"282" doesn't work use "828".

Good Luck,
