Performer performance question

Yo Performer friends,

Can anyone out there tell me if having multiple viewports (with a different
scene on each viewport) is expensive in Performer ? I'm rendering a 2D ani-
mation and having a separate viewport for the different elements is very
elegant in my design, but I'm concerned about the overall performance of this
approach.

Any comments ?
