I have used the GlxMDraw Widget with Performer, although it has been
fairly recently, so I am not sure about performance questions. I have not
been able to get it to work with multiple processes. I think the problem
there is that you can not seperate the X app from the draw process. I tried
shared memory but I think some internal global X variables that are not share,
screw things up. I put the pfFrame and pfSync in a work procedure
(XtAppAddWorkProc), which seems to work ok.
