:Jim, regarding the pfEarthSky problem, would you please let us know
:what are the intentions of the Performer development team?
:
:> The failure of pfEarthSky to function properly with
:> asymmetric viewing frusta is a known bug in 1.2. We
:> don't have a workaround short of having the application
:> create geometry for its own earth-sky model.
:
:Will this bug be fixed in the next release? Or will you change the
:implementation/concept of a sky itself?
We will ship with a new EarthSky model that adds new features, such
as textured cloud layers and directional horizon glow, in addition
to fixing the currently identified bugs.
Anyone will comments on the EarthSky model is invited to email me
(mtj++at++sgi.com) with your suggestions. Also, if you have written your
own EarthSky model and want to advise us about special ideas that
you would like to see included in our next release, I'd like to
hear from you.
