Questions on MCO configurations

This is not a Performer question per se, but I think it is close enough
to justify its presence here, where multi-channel gurus are likely to
hang around...

I have a few questions about the Multi Channel Option board for RealityEngine.

1) Can a single MCO board read from multiple RE (hardware) pipes, or does
it have to be 1 RE pipe - 1 MCO board?

2) I understand that an MCO can drive 6 displays at two different timings,
4 displays on one timing and 2 on the other. Are there any other
restrictions? In particular, given a mix of 1280x1024 and 640x480 channels
and a 4 RM RE pipe, are the following combinations legal?

- 1 x 1280*1024 (obvious)
- 2 x 1280*1024 (I think so)
- 2 x 1280*1024 + n x 640*480 (I don't think so)
- 1 x 1280*1024 + 1 x 640*480
- 1 x 1280*1024 + 2 x 640*480
- 1 x 1280*1024 + 3 x 640*480
- 1 x 1280*1024 + 4 x 640*480
- 1 x 1280*1024 + 5 x 640*480 (I don't think so)
- 6 x 640*480
- 5 x 640*480
- 4 x 640*480 (I think so)
- 3 x 640*480 (I think so)
- 2 x 640*480 (I think so)
- 1 x 640*480 (obvious)

Are there any other possible combinations? Are there any restrictions I
should be aware of?
