I would like to build a scene containing a number of simple rounded
shapes, namely circles and cylinders, and load it into a performer
animation. I was thinking that Inventor provides an easy file format
to accomplish this. However, it seems that Performer only loads
Inventor files that do not contain these simple predefined shapes.
Only those parts of the Inventor file that are defined by vertices
and traingles are displayed.

Is this functionality missing in the Performer .iv file loader? Is
there a fix? Is there another way of creating such simple shapes in a
high level manner, i.e. without programming every vertex and every
triangle?
I am using Performer 1.2 and Inventor 2.0 on an Indigo 2 XZ running
IRIX 5.2

Thanks,

Markus
