Crimson RE with 1 RM

Please help,
        We have just installed a Crimson RE (in our Crimson...
running OS 5.2 and Performer 1.2). The RE only has one raster
manager, and our local SGI rep warned us that there are some
limitations as far as alpha-blending and anti-aliasing on a one RM
RE. The only help he could give us is that these things are only
available in a 640x512 or smaller window. This is obviously just
part of the fix because this didn't change anything. Please let me
know about all of the other tweaks that we must implement, and any
source would be helpful. By the way, the code has run successfully
on a number of other RE machines with no changes.
