Hi,

I recently read the paper "Iris Performer: A High Performance
Multiprocessing Toolkit for Real-Time 3D Graphics" by John Rohlf & Jim
Helman. (/pub/Performer/performer-sig94.ps.Z on sgigate.sgi.com).

In section 4.3 (Future Work) there is a description of an apparent
intention to incorporate some type of database paging functionality into
future Performer releases.

Is there any information available regarding this ? In particular :

What functionality will be provided ?
When will it be available ?
Will there be any capability to specify database locations in latitudes /
longitudes ?

In short, absolutely any information you are prepared to provide would be
of great interest !!!
