Problem Loading mulitple obj Files - it only flickers

perfly -X 100 file1.obj file1.obj file1.obj

The response is that the "Welcome to Performer" message comes
up in the Performer window, and the GUI comes up. But the scene
never comes up and instead the Performer window starts flickering.

I try changing things near plane far plane, etc but with no success.

I can load the obj file by itself or load many of them without using
the -X explode option and that works ok, excpet of course the
objects are all loaded ontop of each other.

I am using Performer 1.2 and the latest IRIX release (I can't remember
the number right now) on an ONYX (and also running all processes on
a single processor for now)

Has anyone seen this type of behavior before?
Can anyone offer any suggestions?
