Sadly, it is just that. I would never have named my polyhedron
file format ".poly" if I had realized that Prisims uses ".poly" and
".bpoly". I'll rename the "/usr/src/Performer/friends/models/poly"
datasets to something else (".euclid" ?) for the next release of
IRIS Performer.
I later recieved information about Prisims and a working loader
for Prisims files into IRIS Performer does now exist. We will be
working with Side Effects to get this support released for those
users who use their modeling tools.
This will be important since Prisims provides such complete
support for animated characters and that's a big topic now
in the many companies where IRIS Performer is being used to
build interactive entertainment applications.
Let me know if you want to help test the Prisims loaders.
