You can't get access to the scene graph and its associated Performer
state from an unrelated process (i.e. one not forked from the original
Performer application). If you want read-only access to the scene
graph, your best bet would be to sproc off a thread in the ISECT
process. The APP process is another alternative, but you will have to
be careful that the modifications you are making in the main APP thread
do not leave the scene graph in an inconsistent state while the other
thread is examining it. In 1.2, database modification is only allowed
in the main APP thread, so in any event your other thread should be
read-only.
