You should only be allocating from the heap if you
are running in a single-process environment and never
plan to use libpf's multiprocessing capabilities.
If you plan to use MP, the argument to libpr's pfNew<xx>
should be pfGetSharedArena().

Performer has no control over your heap size. Check your
shell limits. Did you really intend a single allocation
of 16MB?
