I just used perfly with the town database on an RE2 with the
following config:

        128MB RAM
        2 RMs - 4MB texture memory each
        2 R4400 CPUs

Most of the time, it ran at 30 fps, but sometimes was quite jumpy and
went to 15 fps. (mostly when I looked at the area where all the buildings
were). The stats display indicated that it was the draw processes that
was overrunning. My question is: what configuration can run this at 30fps
all the time?

Were the textures being swapped on an 8MB texture system?
(meaning would more texture memory make it run at 30fps)

Would 4 R4400 make it run at 30 fps all the time?

Would 4 RMs be needed to make it run at 30fps all the time?

Can any SGI machine run it at 30fps?

My guess is that it is the RMs - does anyone know for sure?

                        Thanks,

                        --Rob.
