Hi

My reason for asking about dxf format
is that I have got some 3D models, not
designed in Autocad, which can be written to dxf.
Also, I have been told that there will be a dxf
file format loader for Performer quite soon. So
I would appear to have a quick route from my models
to dxf to Performer. However if dxf has basic limitations
like not knowing about texture, or material specification,
or has an incomplete colour space, then I don't want to
know about it (I can write my own
converter anyway in that case). Any information
you have would be useful.

I have looked at an Aoutocad manual, but it is several years
old, and in any case I have the impression of being overwhelmed
with information that does'nt appear relevant from reading it.

Thanks
Richard Galelry
