        Unfortunately 1.0/1.1 are pretty weak with regards to the cull
callbacks and can't easily do what you want if at all. 1.2 is much better
and allows you to:

        1. Replace default Performer culling with your own through
        pfCullResult() called in the preCull callback.

        2. Query the result of the cull in the postCull callback through
        pfGetCullResult().
