Dave's suggestion is good. But mark the code for removal when you
port to 1.2. 1.2 provides a full path in the intersection return
structure, which is faster than having lots of node callbacks invoked.

Note that you really only need callbacks for those nodes with multiple
parents. If your geometry is not instanced in the scene graph (or the
intancing has been pfFlattened), you can walk the up the scene graph
using pfGetParent().
