Intersection beetwen bbox and nodes

Hi all,

I have a simple question for all of us :

How can i determine intersection between BBox and nodes or geoset ?

In fact my question is more complex, i need to simulate a bomb explosion
and i want to determine all objects that are affected by this explosion.
Of course explosion area is a sphere.

Any idea ?
