Hi All,

Some questions concerning Performer:

1) In an application we want to display one model (made with MultiGen)
stored as an individual database tree with different attributes
(LOD, switched Nodes,etc.).

The number of repetitions can vary from frame to frame. We are looking for
a method to display this model in the following way without duplicating
portions of the scene database:

   1. change the attributes for a model
   2. send it through the culling
   3. repeat steps 1 and 2 to display this model several times in one frame
   4. expect one single Display List in the drawing procedure

We want to do it this way, because we think that changes in the
scene database, like removing, adding or cloning, are very time consuming.

Do you see a chance to achieve this?

2) Do you know a way to determine the screen extent of certain objects
like the 'old' scrbox routine on VGXT. Is there any new GL or Performer
routine that does the same?

3) Is there a method in Performer to mark a model in the cull Callback to
recognize it during the draw process?

4) Is there a function that reports the free space in the texture memory?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Richard
