question on intersections and different hardware

I have a question about intersection traversals in
performer 1.0. The code I have developed works fine on my
VGXT and my Indigo XS24. However on my regular simple little
Indigo, I get nothing. The code still runs -- it just returns
the wrong results of always intersecting nothing. Does anyone
know a work-around for this?
