Bram, great work. And in one day ! :=)
SGI is certainly interested in looking at this I'm sure.
Iv ascii format is a great tool for debugging and modifying scenes,
and with a good editor and some ingenuity you do great things.
Also the old "scenegraph" editor lets you do even more, I forget
its name, the one where you can drag and drop spheres representing
nodes etc. And I guess there are countless VRML editors that
may work too.
I suppose there are legal and IP issues here, I'll let SGI HQ
comment on that.

Hello pfPeople,

It's been quite a hacking marathon for me, but today I wrote an
Inventor exporter for OpenGL|Performer. (For years it bugged me
that I could not write iv, so today I decided to finaly fix this).

You can download it at:
http://stolk.org/ivexport/

It is a single file, ivexport.C, that you can link with you libpfiv.so
The file implements pfdStoreFile_iv() so that pfconv can write .iv
files.

The bulk of the models in /usr/share/Performer/data convert properly
with
this code.

Regards,

   Bram Stolk

PS: It would be nice if SGI could include this in pf3.3 or something.
