Hi all,

a customer upgraded his active-stereo linux rendering PCs from GeForce FX 5900
to Quadro FX 4500 PCI-E. On the new system we have a strange performance
problem.

The application is a crash model and it uses a pfSequence node for the
animation.

In mono it behaves as expected, as soon as additional polygons (for example 3D
menus) are visible, the framerate drops from 45 fps to 40 fps.

In active stereo the framerate is completly unpredictable: it can drop from 45
fps to 2 fps. As soon as some (3D) menus are opened, the framerate gets
better, although more polygons have to be drawn. If the animation is stopped
it behaves as expected.

Operating system:
  Suse 10 32 Bit (kernel 2.6.13)
  or
  RedHat EL3 64 Bit(kernel 2.4.21)
Graphics card:
  nvidia Quadro FX 4500 PCI-E
  nvidia driver 8178

We use Performer 3.2. Thanks for any help or suggestions what could be wrong
with pfSequence and active stereo.

Best Regards
Daniela
