pfHello,
We are using several force feedback devices either to drive navigation
or to handle virtual pointers in our 3D scene. Theses devices have to be
informed about collisions.
The problem is that APP reads devices positions and devices must be
aware of collisions info which are computed in a forked ISECT process.
Thus I have to pass info from ISECT back to APP... and I don't know how
to do it.
I have several questions about intersections when the ISECT process is
forked.
* How can I pass intersections informations back to the APP (or to
another) process ? Is it even possible or do I have to handle the
intersection results in the ISECT process ?
* What happen if ISECT lasts longer than a frame ? Do I have to handle
it and not pass new IsectData until my isectFunc is done ? (in this
case, how can I inform APP that ISECT is done ? I've tried to use a flag
in SharedArena without success...)
Any suggestions ?
jcl
PS: we are using Perfomer 3.2.1 on an Onyx 300 under IRIX 6.5.28
