Hi,

in order to have more control over the way objects are imported i am
considering porting the openflight loader code of OSG to Performer. The
structure, nodes and geometry of the OSG scenegraph have much resemblence
with the corresponding structures of Performer, so porting should be
possible.....
Before giving it a try, i would like to know if someone out there tried
this already (or has considered/rejected it).

Another option would be to use OSG iso Performer.
I did some experiments. My conclusion is that the threading model of OSG
is good for an average PC-architecture (1 or 2 CPU's), but does't scale
well on a larger system with more CPU's and graphics outputs (like an
Onyx). But ofcourse this is a complete different discussion..........
