Not me. But a guess, this could happen because of differences between
versions of glibc or other system libraries. What you might try is to
compare the output of "ldd" for the perfly in /usr/X11R6/bin versus the
one you compiled. Are they identical?

If that's not it, the stack trace might give some clues. Set the
environment variable LD_LIBRARY_PATH to /usr/share/Performer/Debug and
see if gdb will give you a trace...
