HI
The why you would normally handle this is to use Switch nodes, were you
create a switch node and several switch masks to allow you to choose which
child is drawn in you case a green or red light.
See the Creator help and tutorials for more information on Creating a switch
node and children
Then in code you can simply find the pfSwitch node and set is state, see the
Performer docs for more info on pfSwitch
Here's some old code that sets the switch state of a given switch

Best Regards

Subject: [info-performer] Texture changes
Hi pfAll,
How can I change the texture (signal color eg red on/off)on a railway signal
object ( Multigen Creator flt file) in an Opengl Performer application?
Some code will be very useful.
Many thanks,
Aurelian FEJER
