Dear Salman,
I have little idea about your base texture and detailed texture. Few
months back we had a problem, not exaclty to the one your facing.
We used several inbuilt Texture filter functions provided pf Library.
The man pages give detailed information about these filters
You can also refer MAG_FILTER and MIN_FILTER and will be of some use for
you.
