One way would be the excellent DI-Guy
http://www.bostondynamics.com/content/sec.php?section=diguy from the folks
at Boston Dynamics, which integrates with Opengl Performer very well

You might find suitable models at some of the commercial modeling houses, I
doubt you will find too much in the way of free models though
