What is the problem with the parser? My guess is that the problem is
not the blank lines themselves, but the size of the file. There was a
bug which caused large XML files to not read correctly, which has been
fixed for Performer 3.2.1. This causes weird breaks in the data - that
is, two pfvXml nodes of the same type are created, each with half of the
data expected.
Another potential issue with the XML parser is that it preserves blank
lines as part of the data. That is, if you have something like:
<somenode>
some data string
</somenode>
Then the somenode string will include the preceeding and trailing
carriage returns (and tabs, and other "space" characters). If the data
is a file name, these characters may need to be removed before being
used as loading information.
