Simon,
Sorry about the very slow response on this issue, but the good news is
this issue has been fixed for 3.2.1, albeit in not the prettiest way
possible.
Due to naming convention differences on various Linux distributions, the
man command on certain systems would not work with the Performer
installed man pages. This could be worked around by renaming the man
pages, such as moving pfBuffer.3pf.C++.gz to pfBuffer.C++.3pf.gz (and
pfBuffer.3pf.c.gz to pfBuffer.c.3pf.gz), which can be done easily enough
in a shell script.
However, on other platforms this naming scheme is not recognized by the
man command, so we have used an alternative naming for 3.2.1, which
seems to work on all platforms we've tested. Unfortunately, it does not
work with the -e (or extension) option of some man commands, which
allows the C or C++ version only to be selected. Additionally, now the
C++ pages will show up first on Linux.
Hope this helps,
Stace
