[info-performer] shadowsNew - still some problems

Just a brief report..

I compiled the "shadowsNew" source on my 5-pipe ONYX.

Irix 6.5.22f.

There are a few problems yet to solve.

The recommended files "town_ogl_pfi.pfb ch53.pfb" worked very nicely.

Substitute "town_ogl_pfi.pfb cow.obj" and it still worked OK.

Try "pot.sv" and you get a very big rotating object and a big shadow,

so I tried "pot.sv.0.25.scale" and it core dumped.

Try "torus.nff" and again I got strange shadows, and then the

pipe froze up, then re-started - thus killing my session.

I have never had much luck with Performer and shadows. This version

is much easier to program, but there are still problems to solve

it would seem.
