i've just installed performer 3.2 on suse 9.2, and am having some trouble with
the manpages. first, man couldn't find them; they are in /usr/man/man3, and
suse's manpath doesn't include /usr/man - everything is, instead, in
/usr/share/man.
i copied everything into /usr/share/man/man3, and then got this error:
man pfSCS
man: warning: /usr/share/man/man3/pfSCS.3pf.C++.gz: ignoring bogus filename
man: warning: /usr/share/man/man3/pfSCS.3pf.c.gz: ignoring bogus filename
No manual entry for pfSCS
if i rename the file 'pfSCS.3.gz' then man will display it, but still has
occasional formatting errors. is this a different version of man than what
redhat & fedora use? is there another config file that needs tweaking?
pfthanks,
