I actually installed 32 bit version of Performer.
I know that Itaniums aren't Pentium 4 with EMT or AMD Athlon 64....
On 64 bit installations of Linux for x86-64 there
are 2 lib directories: /lib and /lib64.
The problem is that ld cannot mix them when linking.
So an application have to use all 32 bit libraries or all 64 bit
libraries, I can still compile 32 bit applications with Performer,
but I would have liked to try 64 bit on my Pentium 4 with EMT,
just to try it.
Of course we don't have such a problem on our Prism,
where everything is 64 bit.
