Hi,

We have been using performer lately for tesselation jobs, right now we are
experiencing
some problems with Performer crashing on some "trimmed" nurbssurfaces.
(a closer look in the debug trace shows that pfdTessellateGeometry( ...,
...) is the problem)

What we do is that we convert the surfaces from Maya (at this stage the
surfaces looks ok)
we then export the nurbs for viewing in perfly (with ctol pseudo loader).

If we load perfly with: perfly surface.pfb.+0.05.ctol it crash ( while doing
the
pfdTessellateGeometry traversal ).

The strange thing is that if we choose the option "Force Polygon Meshes"
perfly skips the
tesselation parts and shows the surfaces correctly.

So finally, I guess the plugin, pfbExport is doing something fancy when
tesselating, true?
Is the source code available somewhere? would be so useful for us people
using Performer
closely with Maya.

If not, what is exacly is going on under "the hood" in the tesselation part
for nurbs in the
pfbExport plugin?

All kinds of feedback on this is welcome!

Very Best,

Mike
