Hi,

I have just installed nvidia driver 1.0.6111 on a Dual Xeon (2.8 Ghz,
with hyperthreading activated), nvidia FX 1300, 128 video ram,
Performer 3.1.1. Debian GNU/Linux 2.4.26 SMP.

I run glxgears and produces FPS=5000 aprox. with the default window
size. I run the same test on a dual Xeon (2.4 Ghz), the same nvidia
driver, performer 3.0.2 and nvidia Quadro FX 1000 128 video ram, same
OS and kernel, on this machine the FPS=10000 aprox.

I was supposing the dual at 2.8 with FX 1300 would run faster (or at
least equal) than the one with FX 1000. Does someone has any idea why
this is happening?

Another test is when i run % perfly town_ogl_pfi.pfb. on the dual Xeon
when i hit g i got 60.0/60.0Hz on the whole path (fly); on the Xeon
2.8 i got 30.0/60.0Hz when flying. Running windows on the Xeon 2.8
shows 60.0/60.0Hz in perfly.

Maybe the nvidia driver in linux with the FX 1300?

FX 1000 has AGP interface and the FX 1300: PCI Express, which is
faster than AGP. Both machines has the same kernel, same ram.

I have probed deactivating hyperthreading, with the same results.

Thanks for your attention.
