On NVIDIA hardware, overlay planes are only supported by Quadro4
and QuadroFX chipsets, and then only if you add the "Overlay" option
to your XF86Config. I'm not sure if any ATi or other hardware
supports overlay planes, but at least with NVIDIA you have to have
a recent Quadro card to support it.
