[info-performer] /usr/tmp on Irix SGI

Hello

Could someone explain me the utility of /usr/tmp for performer under
Irix running on a SGI ?

That direcory contains files like:

pfutil1395.pfdpool

I know, i sounds like temprary data, that's why I remved them...

I just removed all the files from that directory and now my Performer
applications just crash anytime randomly. I would be surprised it to be
responsible of theses crashes, but now I am in a "panic" state and I am
suspecting everyting.

I just hope it to be responsble for that crashes...
