Dear Performer team,
we encountered mysterious crashes with our applications on Linux, Kernel
2.4.20 and higher, starting with Performer 3.1. They didn't show up with
OpenGL Performer <= 3.02.
We make heavy usage of performer derived custom types. We tracked the problem
down to increasing the maximum available number of pfTypes by setting
pfType::setMaxTypes(int), which solved the problem with PF >= 3.1.
It seems that Performer 3.1 introduced a lot new performer-specific types so
our custom types seem to overflow the type-array.
Unfortunately there is neither a warning that the maximum number has been
exceeded, nor the possibility to query the number of available types, as far
as I know.
Maybe you could please enlighten us a bit how to determine the maximum number
of types, otherwise we can just guess :-)
Thanks in advance,
Alex
