hi tom,

here it is. on a fedora core 2 based single cpu system using i852 gfx
(mesa + dri) when starting perfly i get some frames and the program aborts
w/ SIGSEGV. the stacktrace looks like this:

#0 0x40296063 in pfChannel::pf_computeStress(int) (this=0x434b6458, fcnt=1) at ../pfChannel.C:6157
#1 0x40292257 in pfChannel::pf_computeLODMult(int) (this=0x434b6458, fcnt=1) at ../pfChannel.C:4375
#2 0x403b0e9d in pfFrame () at ../pfPipe.h:175
#3 0x0804f125 in main ()

i attached the console output of "perfly -n7". setting PFVIDEORATE fixes this
behaviour. besides, i've seen this behaviour on "pure" mesa based installations
for some time now, so i don't think it's related to the dri driver. if you
need more information please let me know.

        j.
