It did change on IRIX but nothing (that I can think of) on Linux or Windows.

IRIX has the "rqs" procedure that had been sprinkling the Performer DSOs all
over in system memory. This made it difficult to get a very large shared
memory segment since it had to be contiguous and there were frequently
Performer DSOs sitting in the middle. So we forced them all to a particular
set address. This now lets us nearly double the max size of Performer's
shared memory arena for N32 apps on IRIX... and there's a similar gain for
N64 (hooray!).
