I don't know about Windows, but I've seen the
following work on Linux.
If all you need is two monitors, then you can get a
gfx card that supports two monitors. It was possible
to setup X so that a single X display spanned both
monitors (you could have a window straddling both
monitors). This worked with OpenGL as well. So you
could open up a fullscreen window that spanned both
montitors (say a 2560x1024 window) and have a dual
display that way.
I don't know how well that type of thing is supported
on Windows. If you really have multiple graphics
cards , I don't know how Windows handles multiple
displays or how Performer would know about them.
