I am playing with Performer on Windows. With older nvidia drivers (4*
series) it was running fine and performace was good. But with forceware
drivers (5*) performance is much worse (3-5 times slower).
I was checking it on GF3 Ti500, GF4 Ti4600 and GF FX5900. Always with
forceware drivers it was very slow. I've tried changing window size,
multisampling and other driver settings. I've tried also different
versions of forceware drivers. Always performance is very bad.
It is very strange, because everyone claims that forceware drivers are
very good with FX cards... And indeed all benchmarks show better
performance in almost all categories. I've tried different
(non-performer) applications and they also run better.
The question is why performer is so slow with forceware drivers?
