hi ron,
you don't need a license to run the demo version of
performer (the demo version is fully functional, the
only diff. is you'll see an opengl performer logo in
your pipe window when you run an application). at
least i didn't need a license to run performer 3.0.
to run town, you go to ..\Silicon Graphics\OpenGL
Performer\Data folder and open town.perfly
MS Visual C++ is a good compiler to use. the latest
is MS Visual C++ .NET
