__GL_SYNC_TO_VBLANK is supported by the NVidia driver not Performer.
Just set it as an environment variable in your shell and it will work,
glXSwapbuffers makes use of the value. Performer still calls
glXSwapbuffers on IRIX and LINUX machines.
