Hi all
I am encountering a problem with Performer related to material-colors. In one particular PFA file there are 7 unique materials, however, the shininess values are all 64. When loading this file, perfly reports 2 unique materials found.
After adding 1 to each shininess value, e.g., 65, 66, ..., perfly
reports 7 unique materials found, and displays the model correctly. I
believe this may be a bug in the optimization that occurs when
loading a file.
I have uploaded the following files to explain the problem :
1. The original file "original.pfa"
2. The modified file "modified.pfa"
3. The "diff" between the original and modified files.
4. Excerpts from perfly output.
These files can be accessed from :

I understand this is a bug in how performer does the optimazation in case of different material colors.. I am looking for a workaround where in we can put off the optimization . I have treied the -q0 option but that doesnt help .
Can someone suggest some workaround . May be you can send mail to me at shkumar++at++iastate.edu .
