Hi,
While searching for "breakup" in the SGI email archives, hoping to stumble
across an an answer to an earlier query that seemed to have gone to
/dev/null, I saw Allan's reference to the geoa pseudo-loader. I'd never
heard of pfGeoArrays- they aren't in my new Programmer's Guide, but they
do have a man page. From the man page I see cool stuff like:
The pfGeoArray (short for "Geometry Array") is a new
OpenGL Performer data structure aimed at replacing the
existing pfGeoSet.
and
Also, pfGeoArrays are rendered using
vertex arrays and vertex objects making the rendering much
more efficient. pfGeoArrays can be up to 10 times faster
than pfGeoSets on Onyx4.
So, I tried do a
perfly esprit.pfb.geoa
and after a few seconds, my perfly screen disappears and I get "Aborted".
Turning on PFNFYLEVEL debug didn't help, nor did trying a different file.
I'm using 3.1beta on Linux.
Any idea what's going on?
Thanks,
-John
